The Algarve Pairs Invitational is a unique four-night, three-round golf event in Portugal. Specifically, players compete across three of the region’s finest courses — The Old Course, Quinta do Lago South, and Ombria Golf Club — and as a result, they enjoy an exciting mix of competition and camaraderie. Furthermore, the tournament welcomes golfers of all levels, which means both seasoned players and casual enthusiasts can experience the challenge. In addition, participants soak in the stunning scenery of the Algarve while playing championship golf. Overall, the Algarve Pairs Invitational combines world-class courses, friendly competition, and an unforgettable golfing experience, making it a must-attend event for golf lovers.

Itinerary & Tee Times

Wednesday, 11th November: Arrival Day at Dom Pedro Portobello Hotel

Thursday, 12th November: First Round at The Old Course, Vilamoura – Tee times start at 10:00 AM

Friday, 13th November: Second Round at Ombria Golf Club – Tee times start at 10:50 AM

Saturday, 14th November: Final Round at Quinta do Lago South – Tee times start at 9:00 AM

Sunday, 15th November: Departure Day

Tee Time Distribution: Over the three rounds, each pair will receive a mixture of early, mid, and late tee times to ensure fairness for all golfers. Additionally, this rotation helps create a balanced and enjoyable tournament experience for everyone.

Event Format:

• 4BBB combined stableford over 54 holes of golf
• 85% handicap allowance
• Maximum Handicap Allowance – 24 men / 28 Ladies

Prizes:

• Prizes for the top 3 pairs
• Nearest the pins each day
• Daily & Overall Competitions
• Glassware for the winning pair

Transfers & Transportation

The event includes two return coach transfers: on 13th November for players at Ombria Golf Club, and on 14th November for the final round at Quinta do Lago South.

For each day, the first coach departs from the hotel 90 minutes before the first tee time for the first group of golfers. A second coach departs one hour later for players scheduled in the middle or back of the tee sheet.

Regarding transfers to The Old Course, the hotel offers a shuttle bus, but guests must pre-book and it seats only eight people at a time. Alternatively, players can take an Uber on the first day, as the course is only 8 minutes from the hotel by taxi.

Airport Transfers: The event does not include airport transfers, so participants should plan accordingly. The easiest option is to take an Uber or taxi, as the hotel is only 25 minutes away by car.

Optional Event Shirt

All golfers can purchase an embroidered Algarve Pairs Invitational polo shirt prior to the event. Additionally, shirts are available through our clothing partnership provider, making it easy to order in advance.

Registration & Payment

To secure your place, we require a £50 per person non-refundable, non-transferable deposit at the time of registration. The remaining balance is due eight weeks before the event, on Sunday, 13th September 2026.

Furthermore, all payments are processed securely via a convenient payment link, ensuring a smooth registration process for all participants.
